  This place gets 5 stars just for how freakin' cheap it is. Their current special from 6am-2pm is 2 eggs, your choice of bacon/sausage/ham, american fries, and toast...for $3.25. Are you KIDDING me. Shocking. These poor waitresses must make nothing given how cheap the check is, so I always make sure to leave a good tip.
  The inside of the place is clean. Booths are nicely sized with springy seats. Oh, and those american fries (hash browns) were a nice mix of soft and crunchy. Some of the best I've ever had.
  
  The best thing about dining in Hessville is the mix of people. I've never seen a little old grandma with a cane ... and a neck tattoo. Ah, the Region.

  Moved into the area and decided to give this place a try. The service was great, generous portions(pancakes could use an overhaul) other than that it's decent.

  Your standard region diner dropped massive points for no longer being open all night. When am I supposed to go? Surely not during day hours. For years this was a spot where friends and I could meet up late for coffee and I would get soup or their surprisingly good lake perch. Some stuff on the menu like gyros are pretty bad, but their breakfast food as well as anything like a reuben sandwich was always enjoyed by friends. It's was a couple of sad days when we walked up in late night hours to find the place closed. Eventually a note was on the door stating that they have new hours and it just doesn't work for me. I would enjoy going back and getting my beloved soup and fish but do not see that happening any time soon. Pam the waitress was always a welcoming and graceful presence. And R.I.P their jukebox. We only heard that work once and it played a song from Rush's 2112.

  Stopped at this exit for gas and decided to try -- you won't go wrong.   Decor is '70's classic diner, food and service quite good.  Prices are also still stuck in the 70's!    Also heard advice of a good Lake for fishing for crappie that's nearby from another diner!   Nice people and will come back.   Thanks.

  A typical diner; nothing flashy. The waitress was kind. The skillet was nothing superb, but still pretty tasty. Definitely a good price. Two of us ate for $17.18.
  
  Only caution: use the bathroom before you go...not pleasant in there.
